AIRDROID: wireless alternative to using a USB cable.

I came across this app on google store and its function immediately appealed to me. Airdroid is an app that wirelessly connects your android phone with your pc allowing many functions of your phone to be carried out on your PC. What can i do with airdroid app?

• You can make a screen recording of your phone.

• Transfer files to and fro PC via phone.

• Control phone hardware like accessing phone camera, contacts and SMS right from pc and lots more.

STEPS ON HOW TO USE AIRDROID FOR FILE TRANSFER..

• Go to phone settings and turn on "tethering and portable hotspot".

• Connect your PC to your phone's hotspot.

• Open any web browser.

• Go to your phone's airdroid app to pick out the ip address, you' ll see (something like http://192.168.43.1:8888 ).

• Copy the address to your browser URL and press "enter" key.

• Pressing "enter" key on your PC keyboard will trigger a popup on your phone screen to accept the linkup on the airdroid app.

• Once accepted, the airdroid interface is translated on your PC web browser and ready for use.

You can transfer files from pc to phone by dragging the file and dropping it on the drag and drop layer of the airdroid web interface. You can access files on SD card/phone > airdroid > upload.

To upload files to PC, simply right click on the file and select the "download" option for the file to be downloaded to PC. You can check web.airdroid.com for more information.
