BEST PRACTICES THAT WILL IMPROVE MOBILE PHONE PERFORMANCE.

Smartphones continue to come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and sophistication; improving on how we live our daily lives, do business, and interact with our environment. There are lots of amazing apps released into the various app stores to ease our mobile experience thus calling for the need to align with certain optimal practices that will keep our mobile devices continually fast, responsive and buttery smooth.

these practices will keep our mobile gadgets in check while ensuring, we don't adapt to using sluggish, non-responsive devices.

• Uninstalling unused apps. Applications run background processes even if you don't open these apps at all, it is still utilizing the RAM space in the background and affecting your phone standby time negatively.

• Disable unneeded preinstalled apps that cannot be uninstalled from your phone. We do not have the privilege to uninstall some preloaded apps but with the "disable option" in SETTINGS >> APPS >> we select the app to uninstall/disable.

• Avoid jack-of-all-trade apps certain apps that feel "over bloated in function". For example, Many Antivirus for mobile phones, battery management applications, and background process management apps are just fashionista apps trying to mimic the functions of their PC counterpart. Some apps even initiate ads on the lock screen or even claim to perform functions they weren't written for in the first place.

• Check the manufacturer of an app to be sure you are not installing the malware replica. For example, Fake WhatsApp used to perpetrate ad click fraud circulated the play store having phone users mistake the app for the original (link).

• Clear cache data in storage - you can access cache data by entering SETTINGS >> STORAGE >> CACHED DATA >> OK after the dialogue box. Cache consumes a reasonable amount of storage space.

• Regularly check and update your phone from SETTINGS >> ABOUT PHONE >> SYSTEM UPDATE. the importance of updates cannot be overemphasized; patches improve phone security and performance although, updates might be unnecessary in few cases. Nokia and Google pixel range of phones release monthly patches for their users.
